Navigation Beagle Channel – Catamaran

Join us to enjoy the challenging Beagle Channel on a navigation where we will observe Fuegian birdlife at Bird Island and Sea Lion Island, as well as visit the famous Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse, taking home an iconic postcard with the characteristic snow-capped mountains in the background.

Our vessels are equipped with the latest navigation instruments and state-of-the-art engines, significantly improving navigation performance. We depart from the tourist pier, sailing through Ushuaia Bay until reaching the Beagle Channel via Paso Chico. There, we will navigate around Bird Island to observe local wildlife. We then approach Sea Lion Island, where we can see both South American sea lions and fur seals.

Upon reaching Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse (“The Beacons”), we will observe colonies of imperial and rock cormorants while learning about the history of the 1930 sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes.

Next, we will disembark at Karelo Island, part of the Bridges Islands, where we will see Yámana shell middens. This guided walk lasts approximately 20 minutes and leads to a panoramic viewpoint ideal for photography. At the end of the journey, we will enjoy a magnificent view of the mountain range surrounding Ushuaia and its natural landscape. This is a charming tour full of historical and scenic value.
