Trekking – Vinciguerra Glacier
Activity description
Adventure awaits us high in the mountains, where we will visit an ancient glacier. We invite you to walk on the ice and explore its crevasses and ice caves. First, we will pick you up from your accommodation and head to the Andorra Valley, about 7 km from Ushuaia, where we will begin the hike along the river and enter the Andean-Patagonian forest.
At this stage, we will climb some steep sections and rest on flatter terrain. The route is mountainous and, depending on weather conditions, it may be muddy, snowy, or dry. We will leave the forest behind and take the final ascent that leads us to Témpanos Lagoon, fully immersed in a mountain environment where snowy peaks and the glacier dominate the landscape, along with impressive ice caves.
While enjoying this magnificent ice giant, its meltwater, and surrounding streams, we will recharge with a well-deserved and delicious box lunch. After finishing, we will begin our return hike to the starting point, where we will conclude this unique experience.
